DEGREE DATES

Following is our current DEGREE SCHEDULE for the Delaware Valley caucus area in Pennsylvania.

If your Council has scheduled an additional degree date,

May 8, 2010

FIRST DEGREE EXEMPLIFICATIONS:

*       Monday, May 10th, Msgr. Michael J. Long Council #14731 held at St. Agnes Hall, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960-2198, District 26 -1st Degree - Candidates at 7:00 PM, 1st Degree at 7:30 PM.  

*       Tuesday, May 25th, Epiphany of Our Lord Council #10605 will host a 1st Degree Exemplification at the Epiphany of Our Lord Parish Center, 3050 Walton Rd, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Candidates arrive no later than 7:00 PM, Degree will start promptly at 7:30 PM.  If any Council does or cannot bring a new candidates kit, one can be purchased for your candidate at the Degree. 

*       Sunday, June 13th, at St. Elizabeth Council #13141 held at St. Elizabeth Parish School Library, 120 Saint Elizabeth Drive, Uwchland, PA 19480, (Route 100 North, approx. 2 miles north of Downingtown exit (#312) on PA turnpike), District 20 – 1st Degree  - Candidates at 7:00 PM, 1st Degree at 7:30 PM. 

SECOND DEGREE EXEMPLIFICATIONS: 

*       Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Regina Coeli Council #4921, 9617 James Street, Philadelphia, PA 19114, District 9- 2nd Degree- Candidates report at 7:30 PM, Degree will start at 8:00 PM.  

THIRD DEGREE EXEMPLIFICATIONS: (None scheduled at this time) 

FOURTH DEGREE EXEMPLIFICATIONS: 

*       Sunday, May 30, 2010 – Candidates at 12 noon, Degree at 1:00 PM, Dolce Hotel – King of Prussia, PA.  Eligibility Requirements: Third Degree member in good standing and First Degree taken before Nov. 30, 2009.  Contact your local Fourth Degree Assembly’s Navigator.

to make arrangements to take a degree.

(1)  Remember to call the Host District Deputy and/or the Host Grand Knight and/or the Council’s Degree Team Captain so they know how many candidates are attending the Degree.

(2)  Make sure the candidate's home Council supplies a new candidate's kit (rosary, pin and the book "These men called Knights”) for each candidate.

(3)  Remember to present each new candidate with the requirements for the Shining Armor Award.

(4)  Please instruct all candidates to wear a coat and tie, if it is possible.

(5)  Except for the 1st Degree ceremony, be sure your candidate has his current degree card present.

(6) A sponsor or members of your Council should accompany your candidates.
